沿革

1. 1917Founded in Kuju town by first-generation Hikoki Sato, originally under the brand name 'Hinode'.
2. 1952Novelist Yasunari Kawabata visited Kuju and, through his friendship with second-generation president Toshiaki Sato, the brand was renamed 'Senbazuru' (Thousand Cranes).
3. 1954Sato Shuzo Co., Ltd. was incorporated with 10 million yen in capital.
4. 1975Beginning this year, the brewery won the gold award at the National New Sake Awards for seven consecutive years.
5. 2021Fourth-generation Shunichiro Sato became president in April.
