島根縣
山本金右衛門於明治2年收購了一家名為「菅屋」的酒造權,創立了釀酒業,現任社長為第六代傳人。創業之初酒銘為「白鹿」,後改為「翠山」,二代目山本義郎將其注冊為商標。「金鵬」之名源於古代中國傳說中與聖人同世出現的神鳥「鳳凰」——雄者稱鳳,雌者稱凰,而「鵬」字取自鳳凰「大鳥」之意。
