沿革

  1. 1864In 1864 (Genji 1), founder Toko Aso started the brewery's history under the name "Funakoya."
  2. 1885In 1885 (Meiji 18), third-generation head Kanpachi Aso revived the Funakoya/Asao brewery with the minimum license volume of 100 koku.
  3. 1885The sake brewed with toji Shikataro Nakama was first named "Ryumon" after a local waterfall, later renamed "Yatsushika" by combining one character each from the founder's and toji's names.
  4. 1929In 1929 (Showa 4), the JNR Kyudai Line stations that Kanpachi Aso had championed, including Ebiki, Era, and Mori, opened.
  5. 1968In 1968 (Showa 43), the reinforced-concrete "Eishaku-gura" brewing building, equipped for four-season brewing, was completed.
  6. 1998In 1998 (Heisei 10), sixth-generation head Masunao Aso became president.
