Kikuzakari

Kikuzakari Sake Brewery was established in 1894 in Kitakami City, Iwate Prefecture, originally operating as Fujimura Shuzo before taking its current name. In 2014, the brewery became the first in Iwate to convert entirely to junmai-type sake production, a commitment that aligns with Iwate's recent recognition under Japan's Geographic Indication system for its distinctive sake character. The brewery sources local rice throughout its product range, grounding each expression in the agricultural identity of the region.
