Brewed in 1979 from Nippon Bare rice at 70% polish as a junmai, this vintage earned a Gold Medal in the aged sake category at the International Wine Challenge, making it among the most decorated in the series. Room-temperature aging in the Gifu storehouse over more than four decades develops the deep, complex character that brought it international recognition.
