Fukui Prefecture Benisashi plums are macerated with rock sugar in 1977-vintage aged sake to produce this koshu umeshu, using the same base vintage year as the s19210 junmai. The concentrated, amber depth developed over nearly five decades of room-temperature aging in Gifu forms an unusually rich foundation for the plum liqueur.
