Named for the spirit of eternal youth, Iisshoseishun was born when young brewers at Akebono Shuzo in Aizubangemachi, Fukushima, first crafted a batch entirely on their own, expressing a resolve to pursue sake-making with the fearlessness of youth at any age. The brewery, known as a rare female-led lineage through three successive generations, went on to win the top gold prize at the Wine Glass de Oishii Nihonshu Awards with its daiginjo expression.
