Founded in 1696 in the highland Saku region of Nagano Prefecture at an elevation of 700 meters, Kitsukura Shuzo has guided its craft by the philosophy that sake is a gift from nature across more than 18 generations. The brewery draws spring water from the Yatsugatake mountain range and the Chikuma River basin, applying traditional methods that have won the brewery international acclaim for its Kitsukura Daiginjo.
