Homare is a longstanding label of Mioya Shuzo in Hakui City, Ishikawa Prefecture, a brewery founded in 1897 on the Noto Peninsula overlooking the Ochi Plain, the largest breadbasket in the region. While the brewery's newer Yuho brand pursues a refined, global-facing style, Homare remains the house's traditional everyday sake, a sweet and warming honjozo beloved by generations of local farmers and laborers.
