这款酒所使用的米是明治时代培育的品种,因栽培难度大,曾在昭和30年代一度废止,后在县农业试验场被重新发现。这是从极少数种子中复活的梦幻酒米。在山田锦的母系品系中,滋贺正推动打造品牌大米的行动。使用这款渡船米,精米步合77%的纯米酒,即为这款「七本枪纯米大吟酿渡船」。虽名为大吟酿,但以「以美食享受大吟酿」为理念,香气温和、口感宜人。在七本枪系列中属口味清淡细腻,推荐与清淡的蔬菜或白身鱼搭配享用。
