Honjozo brewed from Gohyakumangoku polished to 60%, made with ultrasoft snowmelt water from the Naeba mountain range in Tsunan, Niigata. The Kirinoto honjozo received a bronze medal at the International Wine Challenge, offering a clean, dry style with a smooth finish.

位於新潟縣南部的津南町是著名的豪雪地帶,霧の塔等2000米級山峰的積雪融水成為水源,孕育出榮選「名水百選」的清澈豐沛之水。這股天然泉水是超軟水,被譽為「細膩圓潤的水」,作為藏元用水使用。酒藏於1996年由當地酒米農家、町政府及JA聯合創立,以津南町當地農家栽培的酒米「五百萬石」為原料,與可見其面孔的農家共同釀造清酒。
