Polished to 65%, this honjozo is brewed at Kyoto's Fushimi district using soft spring water from a well on the brewery grounds that shares an aquifer with the sacred Goko spring. Gold leaf is suspended in the bottle as a ceremonial touch reflecting the brewery's Kinkaku imperial eagle trademark.
