該酒造1886年創立於南部杜氏發祥地岩手縣紫波郡紫波町。歷代藏元皆身兼杜氏，親自主導釀酒，如今第五代橫澤裕子秉持「以家業而非企業之心經營」的信念，不斷傳承傳統、革新技術。主要使用岩手縣產酒米「吟乙女」「吟銀河」「結之香」，以北上川伏流水（軟水）精心釀造，追求清澈柔和中帶有紮實醇厚的風味。

1886
Tokuichi, the 4th-generation head of the Yokosawa family (originally from Wakasa, present-day Fukui Prefecture, and previously running a koji shop), founded the sake brewing business out of his passion for sake making, marking the start of Tsukinowa's history.
1991
Daizo Yokosawa, the 7th-generation head of the Yokosawa family, became owner-toji, personally directing sake production while also serving as the family's head.
2005
Upon the company's incorporation on November 1, Yuko Yokosawa became toji (master brewer), and sake production began under a new structure.
