這是大分縣一家歷史悠久的老字號酒造，於明治5年在野津町水池創立。2004年一級河川水質調查中，大野川榮獲日本最佳水質之列。酒造坐落於以自然環境著稱的「野津町」，在此同時釀製清酒與本格燒酎。

沿革
- 1872Founded a sake brewing business in Mizuchi, Notsu-machi under the trade name Manrikiya.
- 1919Relocated production to the current site; the Meiji-era and Taisho-era kura buildings survive in their original form.
- 1930Incorporated as Fujii Shoten, a limited partnership company.
- 1973Expanded the head office brewery following the abolition of production volume restrictions.
- 1981Began full-scale production of Class B shochu and expanded sales into the Kansai and Kanto regions.
- 1987Established a Kanto sales office in Kawasaki, Kanagawa.
- 1996Built a new plant in Minamimachi; the former head office plant survives as a storage warehouse.
- 1998Renamed and reorganized as Fujii Shuzo Co., Ltd.
