1830
Founded in Shimoyama village, former Nukata district, in the late Edo period by first-generation head Yazaemon Shibata.
1898
A fire broke out at the brewery around 11pm on August 9 (a commemorative marker of the event still remains).
1899
Fifth-generation head Ruita Shibata rebuilt the brewery, constructing what is still known today as the old kura (kyuzo).
1906
Sanpo Godo Kaisha was established by four family/business partners: Heikuro Shibata, Seijiro Shibata, Asajiro Takagida, and Naokichi Shibata.
1922
Seizo Shibata inherited the rights to Sanpo Godo Kaisha and trademarked the brand name Konotsukasa.
1973
Seventh-generation head Takuo Shibata built the reinforced-concrete building now housing the analysis room and bottling plant, along with a storage warehouse.
2015
Construction began on a new brewery building, later named Ginjozo.
2016
The Ginjozo building was completed, and the new brand Gin (众) was developed and launched.
