Isaka Shuzojo, founded in Kishiwada, Osaka in the early nineteenth century, produces Miwafuku as a local sake with a name granted special significance by Miwa Shrine in Nara, the Shinto shrine dedicated to the god of sake. The brewery rejects mass production in favor of handcrafted techniques, and its Miwafuku label is closely linked to Kishiwada's identity, appearing on bottles tied to the town's famous annual Danjiri festival.
