Kihei is the flagship brand of Hiraki Shuzo, based in Asakuchi City, Okayama Prefecture, and named after the brewery's founder Totsuka Kihei, whose name the label has carried since the company's establishment in 1928. Originally founded in Shizuoka before consolidating sake production to Okayama in 1967, the brewery is among the largest producers in the prefecture. Kihei is crafted with rice and natural water from Okayama, and is known for its soft, clean drinking character.
