Isonosawa Co., Ltd., founded in 1894 in Ukiha City, Fukuoka Prefecture, takes its name from the first characters of the founding family's parents: father Isokichi and mother Sawa. Located where spring water from the Inao Mountain Range and Aso region reaches the eastern edge of the Chikugo Plain, the brewery draws from a well in an area designated among Japan's 100 Famous Waters. Isonosawa's Shun pure rice sake won the Gold Prize at the 2025 Kura Master competition in France.
