nondo Co., Ltd. operates from a small family inn in Tono City, Iwate Prefecture, the first designated Doburoku Special Zone in Japan, where owner Yotaro Sasaki has spent more than a decade refining the art of doburoku. The brewery's philosophy, captured in its name meaning the union of farmer and drinker, runs through every step from natural rice cultivation to brewing without additives. Dobukyuru, described as the world's first fruit-flavored doburoku liqueur, is made exclusively from rice, rice malt, and fruit juice, with no added sugar, earning a place on the menus of Michelin-starred restaurants.
