Honjozo brewed from Bicchu Akebono rice at 70% polish by Bitchu toji craftsmen using a traditional wooden fune press at a Kurashiki brewery founded in 1909. Gold leaf is added to the bottled sake, a presentation style associated with celebratory occasions, while the underlying sake carries the soft, mellow character shaped by the brewery's hand-crafted production philosophy.
