Takanoyama no Hannyato Hatsusakura Junmai is a pure rice sake bearing the historic Koyasan Hannyato label from Hatsusakura Brewery in Katsuragi Town, Wakayama. Made with locally grown rice, including the high-altitude Amano rice cultivated near Koyasan, and Izumi-Katsuragi mountain spring water, it delivers rich umami and firm acidity suited to warm or room-temperature serving.

Our company is located on the banks of the Kinokawa, which is familiar in the novel of Ariyoshi Koyama, designated as a World Heritage Site, and is said to have carried a sake barrel on the back of the horse to Mt. Koyasan. Hannya -yu is a liquor that is drunk at the temple. Junmai Ginjo Koyasan "Saint" Hanwakayu is a "special Koyasan local sake" made in the underground water at the foot of Koyasan, which was designated as a World Heritage Site in July 2004.
