Shuho

Established in 1890 in the Yanbe district of Yamagata City, Shuho Sake Brewery resumed production in 1967 after wartime suspension and has since built a reputation as one of Yamagata's premier ginjo producers. Under its current brewmaster, a former fiber-optic communications scientist who returned to the family business, the brewery crafts almost exclusively ginjo-class sake and exports to more than twelve countries.
