Uminarinouta, meaning roughly Song of the Sea's Roar, is a junmai from Oki Shuzou evoking the rugged Sea of Japan coastline surrounding the Oki Islands. The brewery uses spring water certified among Japan's 100 Best Waters and follows the traditional Izumo toji approach to crafting balanced, food-friendly sake.

隱岐酒造於1972年由菊水、高正宗、沖鶴、御所等五家酒藏（西鄉酒造組合）聯合創立，並選定了代表品牌。隱岐群島自《古事記》《日本書紀》時代便有文獻記載，由距島根半島約40至60公里的日本海中大小逾180座島嶼組成，歷史上曾是後鳥羽、後醍醐天皇流放之地，以奇岩海礁等自然景觀著稱。島上雨霧豐沛、森林茂密，對馬暖流帶來清澈的水源，環境廳評選的「百名水」中有兩處即在此地。酒藏在這片富饒的自然環境中釀造日本酒、燒酒及利口酒。
