Shussejo Zacyarenji Tokubetsu Junmai Muroka is an unfiltered (muroka) tokubetsu junmai from Hamamatsu Shuzo in Shizuoka, bypassing the carbon filtration step that most commercial sake undergoes to remove color and fine particulates. Muroka sake retains more of the natural flavor compounds and a subtle golden hue that activated-carbon filtration would strip away. The brewery, using Homarefuji rice and Shizuoka yeast at its Tenjingura facility since 1871, delivers a textured, more complex expression in this unfiltered format.
