Made with Fukui Prefecture Benisashi plums and rock sugar steeped in 1996-vintage aged sake, this koshu umeshu uses a base sake praised for its balance of character and sweetness and recommended as a representative introduction to the vintage koshu style. That rounded foundation carries through into the plum liqueur.
