In the Meiji era, it was sold in brands such as "World King" and "Chrysanthemum". In the early Taisho era, Hitohiko Asuka was assigned to the 61st Regiment in Wakayama, and when he lived in a villa of the Shimamura family, he was officially named "Tencho". For about half a century, it is one of the few sake breweries in Wakayama Prefecture, which has been offering a sake "Tenpo" to the Emperor's family with special permission.
The characters of the label such as "Junjin" and "Kumanoji" were written by Irie Aigo, who was the chief of the Emperor Showa.
