In 1881 (Meiji 14), Ei was founded in Yui, Shizuoka Prefecture. The name of Ei was named for the 15th Shogun Keiki, who had retired in Sunpu in the Meiji era. Many of the brewers had many large land lords in the area, but in fact, Eiken did not do rice work at a branch house, but seemed to have bought rice from the time of its founding and preparing it. After the third generation died, his wife Masako desperately protected the warehouse, and currently only used yeast developed in Shizuoka Prefecture, mainly Junmai sake, and carefully brewed with well water springs from the storehouse. We aim for a natural flavor and a refreshing flavor that does not deceive sweet and spicy acids due to high aroma. Ideally, alcohol that complements each other's goodness with meals, not in the way of eating.
