Kongoushuzo Co., Ltd. is located in Okayama Prefecture, where it produced the Kongo brand of sake using local Bizen-region water and ingredients, with a distinctive approach that incorporated Bizen-ware ceramics into its product line, including pure rice sake bottled in traditional Bizen-ware decanters. The brewery was founded in 1887 and offered a range spanning pure rice ginjo to nigori sake before closing in March 2021.
