Exploitant la puissance de la nature à Uonuma, l'une des zones les plus enneigées du Japon, ce sake vieillit pendant huit ans dans un entrepôt à basse température 'Yukimuro' stockant 1 000 tonnes de neige. Un vieillissement à environ 3 degrés Celsius sur une longue période a permis de créer un sake vieilli de haute qualité, à la saveur douce et élégante, tout en conservant une légèreté en bouche. C'est un sake qui symbolise les huit années de Hakkaisan, portant en lui huit fois huit, ha ha ha..., et un rire de bon augure.

Much richer and umami forward than the 3 year, but still has that underlying lightness. Finishes dry. Surprisingly colorless for the age.
