Meilensteine

  1. 1897Founded as "Fumoto Shuten" by 11 sake enthusiasts at the current site in Tosa City; the sake brewed from a never-drying spring known as "Man'nen no Izumi" was named "Kameizumi."
  2. 1944Under wartime national policy, six sake breweries in the former Takaoka district were consolidated into Koryo Shuzo Co., Ltd. (later Gyokuhai Shuzo); the current site began operating as its Takaoka production plant.
  3. 1965Toshikazu Nishihara became independent from Gyokuhai Shuzo and founded Kameizumi Sake Brewing Co., Ltd., becoming its fifth president.
  4. 1989Began producing premium classified sake (tokutei meisho-shu) following the abolition of the old grading system.
  5. 1998Began producing "Junmai Ginjo Genshu CEL-24."
  6. 2008Started an export business and expanded overseas.
  7. 2009Began producing "Konatsu Liqueur" and "Ginger Liqueur."
  8. 2013Began producing "Sparkling Junmai Ginjo KAMEIZUMI Perle," a bottle-fermented sparkling sake.
