Naozane is the flagship of Gonda Shuzo, a brewery founded in 1850 in Kumagaya City, Saitama Prefecture, and named after Kumagai Naozane, the medieval warrior commander who rose to prominence in the same region. The brewery uses Sake-Musashi rice developed specifically for Saitama Prefecture, alongside a local yeast strain, pressing all mash by hand through traditional sakafune extraction to produce sake with a sturdy, full-bodied character that shines particularly when gently warmed.
