Description
Naozane Orisake is a lees-laden, cloudy sake from Gonda Shuzo in Kumagai City, Saitama, a brewery founded in 1850 whose flagship brand takes its name from the medieval warrior Kumagai Naozane, a historical figure associated with the city. Ori refers to the fine rice lees left in suspension after pressing, giving the sake a gentle cloudiness, a creamy texture, and a rich, slightly earthy sweetness over the brewery's characteristic soft umami. Local Sakemusashi rice, developed specifically for Saitama brewing, contributes a distinctive regional flavor to this casual, honest expression.
