Founded in 1896 in Tokushima Prefecture, Tsukasagiku Shuzo brews Kirai with a spirit of challenge, described on the official site as sake that throws down a gauntlet and is born from the overflowing spirit of Awa. The brewery is a pure rice producer using the locally developed Gin no Sato sake rice, and the Kirai line spans a range of styles from the sharply dry Shiro to the rich, savory Kuro.
