Nakatani Brewing Co. was established in 1853 in Banjo, a historic river port town at the northern end of the Yamato River system in present-day Yamatokoriyama City, Nara Prefecture. The brewery is devoted to junmai sake, steaming rice by hand using traditional methods and striving for a clean, refreshing taste. In 2022, Nakatani also opened a new micro-scale Yanagimachi Brewery where sake is pressed from small fermentation tanks almost daily, reflecting its commitment to freshness and craft.
