Sake Brand
Akashi Tai
Akashi Tai is handcrafted in small batches by Sake Master Kimio Yonezawa at Akashi Shurui Jouzo, a brewery based in Akashi City, Hyogo Prefecture, whose family history in the area dates to 1856. The brand name pays tribute to the gilthead sea bream (tai), the emblem of Akashi City celebrated as the king of fish, expressing the ambition to produce the king of sake. Since beginning exports in 2005, Akashi Tai has won gold medals at the Kura Master, Feminaise World Wine Competition, and All-American Sake Awards, building a strong international following across the UK, France, and the United States.
