Tempuu Karakuchi is a dry sake from Furusawa Shuzo in Sagae, Yamagata, named for the strong seasonal winds that sweep through the Mogami River valley. Founded in 1836 by safflower merchants, the brewery bottles this straightforward dry sake as an honest, everyday companion to Tohoku cuisine.
