Description
This 1987 vintage umeshu steeps Fukui Prefecture Benisashi plums and rock sugar in aged sake from the same year, a base noted for its silky texture and slow-building finish. The extended maceration on the mellow koshu foundation, which has aged at room temperature for nearly four decades in Gifu, deepens the plum's aromatic character.
