Josen is the entry-level honjozo from Ueda Shuzo, brewed in Nara's Ikoma district with underground spring water sourced beneath the Ikoma mountain range. The brewery, founded over 400 years ago, applies the same careful rice selection and fermentation oversight to this everyday grade as to its premium offerings.
