- 1825Founded in 1825 (Bunsei 8) by first-generation Tomokichi Kezuka in the Honkonya district of Tatebayashi Castle Town (present-day Nakamachi, Tatebayashi). The trade name was 'Marukiya'.
- 1954In 1954 (Showa 29), the company was renamed Bunbuku Shuzo.
- 1975In 1975 (Showa 50), the brewery was relocated to Nobe-cho within the city, where it remains today.
