酒庄位于山梨县北杜市,四周被八岳丰饶的自然环境所环抱。「竹井」之名源自初代竹左卫门之名与八岳地下水所涌出的水井。酿造原料米精选自全国各地的优质酒造好適米,发酵用酵母主要采用东京农业大学的菌株,酿造用水则使用八岳山麓的地下水。
