Description
Minamitaiheiyo Junmaishu Okuizumoshinwa, meaning mythology of deep Izumo, from Kisuki Shuzo in Shimane, connects pure-rice brewing to the mythological landscape of the Izumo region, one of the most important sites in Japanese Shinto cosmology. Okuizumo, the deep inland area of Shimane, is associated with the ancient Hii River, iron sand culture, and the Yamata no Orochi legend, giving this junmai a rich cultural context rooted in the brewery's immediate geographic surroundings. Brewed without added alcohol, this sake emphasizes natural rice flavor and the earthy, grounded depth appropriate to its mythological namesake.
