History

1877
Founder Shinjo Ryuzo became independent from the head Shinjo family sake brewing business and founded the brewery in Bakuroumachi (now Kanmachi), Aizuwakamatsu.
1966
Reorganized as a company, becoming Tatsuizumi Shuzo Limited Partnership.
1974
Third-generation Shinjo Shinji became president (representative partner).
1985
Revived the once-lost sake rice variety Kyonohana and released the Junmai Daiginjo Kyonohana brewed from it.
1990
Released Junmai Aizunagare, brewed by traditional methods using contract-grown Aizu rice.
2009
Fourth-generation Shinjo Soichi became president (representative partner).
2011
Following the retirement of the Nanbu toji, a new brewing structure began, united among the owner family, employees, and local brewers.
