In order to make delicious sake, good rice, good water, and even better yeast are essential. The Mei -Ogawa yeast and the M 310 yeast, which are held by Meitsu sake, have a very good nature that they create refreshing ginjo scent and rarely make acids.

1950
Succeeded the business of Kato Shuzoten and founded as Meiri Shurui Co., Ltd.
1977
The 'Meiri Ogawa yeast' developed by the company's Chikara Ogawa was registered as 'Association No. 10 yeast' at the request of the Japan Sake Brewers Association.
1981
Won a Gold Award at the National New Sake Appraising and Deliberating Session for the first time.
1998
Launched 'Hyakunen Umeshu' plum wine and opened the 'Bessyun-kan' plum wine and sake museum as a tourist site in Mito.
2000
Celebrated the 50th anniversary of founding and launched the sweet potato shochu 'Manyuki'.
2011
The Great East Japan Earthquake caused severe damage to the factory.
2014
The company's Daiginjo won a Gold Award in the SAKE category of the International Wine Challenge (IWC), and the company began producing and selling 'Wa Vodka'.
2020
Began producing high-concentration alcohol in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and celebrated the 70th anniversary of founding.
