From the brewery
"Sake brewing that is generously put on". It is a brewery where the traditional technique of 175 years of founding is hard. It is a sake brewing using raw rice made in Niigata Myoko, a rice that is a snowy highlight and has the optimal conditions for making rice. I would like to expand the well products.

Story & Media
History
1842
The brewery's founding is dated to a surviving 128-koku sake brewing permit issued under the Takada domain, dated to the 13th year of Tenpo (1842).
1896
The man who would later take the name 'Tanakaya Daigoro II' was born as the second son of Tanaka Kanji, the brewery's 3rd-generation head.
1928
Tanakaya Daigoro II was an early adopter of enamel (horo) tanks and purchased a new vertical rice-polishing machine to achieve higher milling ratios.
1929
The brewery built a reinforced-concrete kura, unusual for the era, aiming to improve quality.
1930
The Niigata Prefectural Brewing Research Institute, the only prefecture-owned brewing research institute in Japan at the time, was established, with the brewery's methods contributing to its founding.
1938
The brewery received the 'Honor Award' at the National Sake Competition hosted by the Japan Sake Brewers Association, recognized for consecutive prior wins.
1951
The company changed its name from the 'Tanaka Shuho (Tanakaya)' trade name to 'Kiminoi Shuzo Co., Ltd.'
1967
A new brewing kura designed by Jiro Shinoda was constructed.
