Shikun is produced by Takata Sake Brewery, established in 1875 in Kurayoshi, Tottori Prefecture, where sake has been made continuously in the historic white-walled storehouse district. Known also by the reading Konokimi, the brand is built on small-batch, largely hand-operated production to maintain quality across each lot, with the sake crafted from locally sourced ingredients in the Sanin region.
