Sake Brand
Kenbishi
Kenbishi traces its origins to 1505 in Itami, making it one of the oldest continuously sold sake brands in Japan, with a history that includes being designated as sake for the eighth Tokugawa shogun Yoshimune and famously consumed by the 47 ronin before their legendary raid. Brewed in the Nada district of Hyogo using the yamahai method with aged blends from three separate cellars, Kenbishi maintains an intentionally amber color and dense, umami-forward richness that has remained unchanged across five centuries.
