Kanbai
Kanbai Shuzo was established in 1918 in Furukawa, Osaki City, Miyagi Prefecture, and brews its Miyakanbai brand with a dedication to rice cultivation that makes it the only cultivation brewery in the prefecture. Starting from their own paddies and using four sake rice varieties including Aikoku, Hiyori, Miyamanishiki, and Yamadanishiki, the brewery controls every step from field to bottle. Miyakanbai's plum blossom emblem evokes the rebirth of spring, and the sake reflects the delicate, mildly sweet character of carefully grown local rice.
