Joto
Joto is an American-founded import brand established in 2005 by Henry Sidel, whose name translates as highest quality, built around a curated portfolio of family-owned Japanese breweries representing collectively over 70 generations of brewing expertise. One of its key partners is the Fuji Sake Brewery in Shimane Prefecture, founded in 1939 and now managed by the third generation of the Imaoka family, which produces the Joto Umeshu and yuzu lines using hand-harvested local ume matured in sake. The Joto range was conceived to introduce sake to new consumers in the growing U.S. market while maintaining the craft integrity of its producer breweries.
