Sake Bar Hagi

Billing itself as New York's first true izakaya, Hagi has been pouring sake and grilling yakitori near Theatre District since 1985 in a room styled after old under-the-bridge drinking dens of Showa-era Tokyo. The sake list is sourced from across Japan and rounds out a menu that spans sashimi, tempura, and karaage alongside shochu, umeshu, and Japanese-inflected cocktails.
