Abekan Jummaiginjo Kasumi Namazake - Junmai Ginjo sake from Abekan Shuzo Co.,Ltd, Miyagi
Description

Abekan Shuzo was founded in 1716 at the foot of Shiogama Shrine in Miyagi, originally commissioned by the Date clan to brew offerings for the shrine. This junmai ginjo kasumi namazake is released unpasteurized and unfiltered, preserving the lively, hazy character of freshly pressed sake straight from the brewery. The kasumi style, meaning the sake retains a gentle cloudiness from fine rice particles left in suspension, yields a soft, milky texture that underscores the fragrant ginjo profile. Brewed in a port city surrounded by Matsushima Bay's coastline, the sake reflects the brewery's long-held philosophy of crafting sake that complements the bold, fresh flavors of Tohoku seafood.
